Join our team as a Shunt Driver and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics operations.

Job Summary

As a Shunt Driver, you will be responsible for handling, moving, loading, and unloading materials in a timely and efficient manner. You will work closely with our team to ensure that all customer orders are processed correctly and that our yard is maintained in a safe and organized manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process customer orders in a timely and efficient manner by placing or removing trailers to and from designated areas.
  • Open and close trailer doors as required, create and update a daily yard check and shunt log, and attach trailer seals as needed.
  • Demonstrate good judgment when checking trailers and maintaining the shunt truck.
  • Ensure that the rules of the yard are followed at all times and maintain a clean environment.
  • Suggest improvements to reduce hazards and prevent reoccurrences.
  • Check and operate reefers and heated trailers, weigh yard trailers, build LCV trailer and B-Train trailer combinations, and move oversize trailers within the yard.
  • Communicate with the team on a regular basis concerning operations.
Requirements
  • Age: 23 or older
  • License: AZ/Class 1 Driver's License
