Job Title: Nightshift Millwright

Permacon, a CRH Company, is a leader in the manufacturing of concrete masonry and landscaping products. As a division of Oldcastle APG, we operate 9 plants in Ontario and Quebec, with a strong commitment to innovation and excellence.

We are seeking a skilled Nightshift Millwright to join our team at our Cambridge plant. This is a critical role that requires a high level of technical expertise and a strong focus on safety and quality.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the reliability and good functioning of machines, equipment, and systems
• Perform routine maintenance on production equipment, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, fuel, lubrication, cooling, exhaust systems, and equipment
• Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to maintain production efficiency
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues quickly to minimize production stoppages
• Conduct quality control checks and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Participate in the modification and improvement of equipment and machines
• Complete maintenance reports and other required documentation
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
• Adhere to safety procedures and protocols, including lockout procedures

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Certified Industrial Mechanic or Millwright is an asset
• CWB (Canadian welding Board) member is an asset
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in industrial mechanics
• Safety-oriented and committed to maintaining a safe work environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Demonstrated skills in industrial mechanical (hydraulic and pneumatic), fabrication, and welding
