**Actuarial Internship Opportunity** Contribute to retirement valuations, post-retirement plans, and special projects as an intern in the Actuarial Delivery Group, a growing team within the North American Retirement Line of Business.

As an intern, you will work on a range of retirement valuations, post-retirement plans, and special projects, employing cutting-edge tools and resources to complete required projects involving valuation data, government filing, and pension benefit calculations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Participate in training sessions and actively engage in learning opportunities
  • Perform actuarial valuations and prepare valuation reports
  • Perform data analysis and reconciliations of pension plan or post-retirement plan participant data
  • Perform pension benefit calculations using established spreadsheets or our proprietary plan administration system
  • Prepare government reporting forms and annual employee benefit statements
  • Support special projects as needed
  • Work with colleagues to ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards
  • Respond to requests and communications effectively and efficiently

This role can be hybrid or onsite, and requires a current university student (at least second year) in actuarial sciences or a program with heavy emphasis on mathematics, statistics, or engineering.

Requirements include:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Organized, detail-oriented, effective time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with colleagues at all levels
  • Strong client delivery orientation
  • Ability to work both independently and on client teams
  • Ability to apply problem-solving techniques in a business environment
  • Fluency in French and English, both oral and written
