Greenhouse Summer Associate Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to assist with greenhouse operations and seed quality control.

About the Role

This 4-month contract position involves providing assistance to breeding projects, seed cleaning, and greenhouse maintenance. The successful candidate will work in a team environment and be responsible for seeding to harvest, tissue and seed sampling, and removal of contaminants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with breeding projects to ensure seed quality and quantity
  • Provide assistance with seed cleaning and greenhouse maintenance
  • Assist with other department programs as required
Requirements
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Knowledge or experience in a greenhouse environment and with plant care and maintenance
  • Problem-solving skills and self-motivation
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities
