While technical experience is a primary objective of this position, it must be coupled with a drive to develop and mentor others.

OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and implement productivity initiatives, driving operational excellence
  • Lead, engage, and motivate personnel
  • Work collaboratively with all divisions to identify and participate in opportunities
  • Focused on maintaining a high customer service level
  • Works collaboratively with project teams
  • Develop and maintain relationships
  • Takes inventory of tools, materials, and equipment, requisitions supplies
  • Performs other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Holder of relevant Journeyperson certificate across the piping trades
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, time management, and multi-tasking in order to prioritize workload and stay on top of things as project demands increase
  • Excellent organizational and decision-making/problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze and understand construction drawings, associated documentation, cost coding systems and work breakdown structures
  • Customer-focused & resourceful
  • Knowledge of supervisory practices and principles and ability to effectively plan, assign and inspect the work of subordinates.
  • Previous safety training and/or leadership training is an asset
  • Skill in the use of the tools and equipment of the trade.
