Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Milling Machine Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a CNC Milling machine in a machine shop setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify conformance of machined work to specifications, using measuring tools
  • Study machining instructions, work orders, and drawings to determine dimensional and finish specifications
  • Select cutting tools according to machining instructions
  • Observe boring operations to detect malfunctions
  • Lift work pieces onto work tables, either manually or with hoists/cranes
  • Install tools and spindles
  • Document work performed/completed in job sheets
  • Maintain equipment and work area

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience operating a CNC Milling machine in a machine shop setting
  • Post Secondary education in General Machining would be an asset
  • Proven knowledge and experience of CNC Machining language
  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing effective machining
  • Ability to analyze and interpret engineering drawings
