About the role

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to lead our digital transformation initiatives, with a specific focus on implementing augmented reality (AR) technologies for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) of gas turbines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, digital technologies, and AR applications, as well as extensive experience in the gas turbine industry. This role is critical to enhancing our operational efficiency, improving maintenance processes, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and performance.

Key Responsibilities
1. Digital Transformation Leadership:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive digital transformation strategy for the MRO operations of gas turbines.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize digital initiatives that drive operational excellence.

• Stay updated with the latest digital technologies and trends, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of innovation.

2. Augmented Reality Integration:

• Lead the integration of AR technologies into MRO processes, focusing on improving accuracy, reducing downtime, and enhancing worker safety.

• Assisted AR-based training programs for technicians and engineers, enabling more efficient and effective knowledge transfer.

• Design and implement AR applications that provide real-time guidance and support during maintenance and repair activities.

3. Project Management:

• Oversee digital transformation projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.

• Coordinate with vendors, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.

• Monitor and report on project progress, addressing any issues or risks promptly.

4. Technical Expertise:

• Provide technical leadership and guidance in the areas of digital technologies, AR, and gas turbine maintenance.

• Conduct technical evaluations and feasibility studies for new digital tools and AR solutions.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and best practices related to digital transformation and AR implementation.

5. Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with the engineering, IT, and operations teams to ensure alignment and integration of digital initiatives.

• Communicate effectively with senior management, presenting project updates, outcomes, and strategic recommendations.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team and across the organization.

6. Performance Improvement:

• Analyze and measure the impact of digital transformation and AR initiatives on MRO operations.

• Identify areas for further improvement and develop strategies to enhance overall performance and efficiency.

• Implement feedback mechanisms to gather insights from end-users and continuously refine digital solutions.

What you bring to the role

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Relevant certifications in digital transformation, project management, or AR technologies are a plus.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering roles, with at least 3 years focused on digital transformation and AR applications.

• Proven experience in the gas turbine industry, particularly in MRO operations.

• Demonstrated success in leading complex projects and implementing digital solutions in an industrial setting.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of gas turbine systems and MRO processes.

• Expertise in AR technologies, including software development and hardware integration.

• Proficiency in digital tools, data analytics, and project management software.

Soft Skills

• Excellent leadership and team management skills.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
