Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

  • A Hardware Designer(FPGA) requires advanced formal engineering education, superior problem solving skills and independent decisionmaking ability. Responsibilities include designing and implementing electronic hardware systems in a team setting. Systems typically require the design and development of both analog and digital circuits. This position reports to Hardware Engineering Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lab test (component characterization, test ) .Generating report on the lab test
  • Design and Verification of FPGAs with Verilog/VHDL
  • Optimizing FPGA code to minimize resources .
  • Verification of FPGAs using latest tools, etc.
Debug FPGA issues on the hardware platform.

  • Invent, document, and implement microarchitecture and design details for new product features.
  • Physical implementation in FPGA targets for emulation; timing closure, debug.
  • Integrating processor based SOC (Target ASIC or FPGA).
Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Hardwarebased integration and test of ASIC/FPGA designs
  • Professional experience with hardwarebased integration and test of ASIC/FPGA designs
  • Proven record of working ASIC/FPGA design and/or verification teams, including tracking and reporting progress to stakeholders
  • Experience with hardware emulators
  • Proficiency with hardware verification languages: System Verilog, System Verilog Assertions
  • Ability to create test plans and selfchecking and reusable testbenches from scratch
  • Experience developing Functional Coverage Models and Closing Code Coverage
  • Revision Control Systems: svn, cvs, git
  • Teamwork, organization, autonomous work, and project management skills.
  • Experience with Xilinx FPGA tools (Vivado, Vitis, HLS), embedded software development, FPGA logic design (VHDL/Verilog).
  • Familiarity with Ethernet networking, data interfaces, and Xilinx architecture/platforms.
  • Nice to have experience developing FPGA designs for Flight hardware

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Balance needs of the business and customer in order to satisfy customer requirements and ensure the best interests of the business are met.
  • Ability to correctly interpret customer's input and translate that information into something which fulfils the customer's end requirements.
  • Analyze and specify hardware development environment (HDE), verification environment, debugging and profiling tools.
  • Manage and develop verification data packages per DO254 certification standard.
  • Create firmware architecture and design structured software by formal and/or modelbased methodologies.
  • Verify and Validate electronics, FPGA =to meet all requirements.
  • Indepth knowledge of HDL development and testing, implementing algorithms in HDL, HDL simulation, timing analysis tools, synthesis tools, place and route tools, backannotated timing analysis, in the lab testing of FPGA designs
  • Ability to meet users needs through the accurate interpretation of their requirements to creation of end product.
  • Able to analyze and interpret electronic data to discern any issues/problems.
  • Facilitate and guide interdepartmental cooperation.
  • Manage report data and effectively translate information into a medium that is easily processed.
  • Assume a lead position to review and to make technical and project decisions.
  • Mentoring, training and performance management personnel improvement.
