Research Project Manager, Medical Research Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Project Manager to join our team at BC Cancer. As a key member of our Clinical Trials Unit, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of research projects, working closely with our Principal Investigators and research teams.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain research project plans, ensuring timely and effective execution of research objectives.
- Collaborate with research teams to design and implement research studies, including the development of research tools and databases.
- Prepare and submit research ethics applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage financial resources and budgets for research projects, ensuring effective use of resources.
- Provide administrative support for research projects, including coordination of meetings and logistics.
- Develop and implement communication plans and materials to support research initiatives and projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences or related field, plus a minimum of five years of research experience in the health care sector.
- Certification in clinical research, such as ACRP or SOCRA, is preferred.
- Strong understanding of clinical trials and research methodology, with a specialization in oncology.
- Excellent interpersonal, management, coordination, and communication skills.
- Proven leadership skills and team/collaborative skills, especially within a research infrastructure.
- Awareness of and commitment to learning and understanding the Truth & Reconciliation Commission's 94 Calls to Action, In Plain Sight Report, BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act, and Reclaiming Power and Place Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women & Girls calls for justice, and how they intersect across the health care system.
