The candidate must have relevant experience in the aerospace industry, namely in MRO. The Senior buyer coordinates, organizes, and oversees all activities involved in the identification, acquisition, production, and distribution of the company's goods.

What you'll do:

Build and maintain supplier relationships, improve costs and quality and reduce risks;

  • Ensure suppliers provide best pricing and delivery schedules;
  • Negotiate with suppliers, obtain and evaluate quotes for new products and services;
  • Coordinate the purchasing team;
  • Drive process improvements to enhance purchasing efficiency, cost, and compliance;
  • Proactively reduce project cost and identify risks;
  • Negotiate annual supply agreements;
  • Coordinate all supply chain activities, such as defining the needs and demands of operations, material needs, products/services providers, flow of materials, etc.;
  • Identify and update cost of goods estimates, report on costs of developmental builds versus the targeted budget;
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, ensure follow-ups with vendors and keep the information up-to-date in the ERP system;
  • Manage, monitor and adjust inventory and prepare the annual inventory process;
  • Evaluate KPI metrics such as vendor performance and inventory forecast levels. Create timely reports;
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects;
  • Perform other duties as required.
Your ideal background :
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Operations Management or any other relevant experience;
  • 8-10 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Project Management skills (Planning, organizational and stress management skills);
  • Knowledge of Aerospace (MRO);
  • Good knowledge of CRM, ERP and MS Office Suite (Excel);
  • Fluent in English & French (Spoken and written).
  • Thriving in urgency and a rapidly changing environment.
