The Project Controls Coordinator will report to the Project Controls Manager and will be responsible for providing project controls support to ongoing projects & supporting the project controls teams in the deliverables they are providing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing support to project team for project control activities as required, including estimating, proposal, cost systems (including project setup in SAP and P6), change management, schedule review, project reporting, and related processes
  • Learning and operating within project specific contract conditions
  • Participating in customer and internal management project status reporting meetings, as required
  • Aiding cost control and project accounting groups as required
  • Developing reporting documentation as required for internal Joint Venture communications
  • Interfacing between the project controls team and the engineering/construction team
  • Supporting in summarizing project status into effective communication tools (presentations, posters, etc.) for team effectiveness
  • Coordinating and implementing project communications initiatives as identified by the project team
  • Actively involving in all engineering, procurement, quality, and construction matters for greater understanding of the project status
  • Assisting with coordination of change orders and tracking

Requirements include:

  • 1-3 years of related experience
  • College and/or University degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Proficient written (report writing) communication skills
  • Knowledge of SharePoint applications an asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team
  • Intermediate to expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks within a high-pressure work site environment
  • Interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employees
  • Willingness for continuous learning and advancement of technical knowledge
  • Detail oriented & customer focus
