Seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Department Manager to oversee the receiving and sales floor operations, ensuring a safe and efficient flow of merchandise.
About the Role:- Lead a team of associates to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Oversee the receiving and processing of merchandise, ensuring efficient flow and minimal disruptions.
- Unload and sort merchandise trailers, and delegate tasks to associates as needed.
- Provide training, coaching, and feedback to associates to improve performance and productivity.
- Act as team lead, providing direction and guidance to associates.
- Maintain the cold chain for refrigerated and frozen receiving.
- Contribute to a safe and clean work environment by adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Prepare and reset the Receiving Area to ensure efficient merchandise processing.
- Unload and sort general merchandise trailers, and complete live unloading of other types of merchandise.
- Delegate and follow up on tasks, including pulling pallets of merchandise to the sales floor for overnight processing.
- Assist in stocking and applying product protection on the sales floor as assigned, and bin overstock merchandise.
