About the Role
  • Supervise a team of dispatchers to ensure effective communication and coordination of mountain operations
  • Maintain office systems and services, including interdepartmental correspondence, general office administration, and bookkeeping activities
  • Provide administrative support to management, including payroll, hiring, and training of dispatch team members
  • Ensure timely and efficient communication between departments and teams
  • Manage a multi-line switchboard and VHF radios
  • Coordinate communication and dispatching of resources in emergency situations
  • Collect and report weather data for internal and external use
  • Record and report daily operations, including emergency response, operational changes, and transport requests
  • Coordinate, log, and track the transport of goods and patients around the mountain

Requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Knowledge of 1Risk systems preferred
  • Knowledge of mountain operations, geography of mountain, and facilities of the mountain preferred
  • Previous multi-line switchboard phone and VHF radio experience an asset
  • Great communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, and some holidays as required
Working Conditions

This position is primarily located inside, but does require traveling through winter conditions. The dispatcher is required to work early mornings and late nights.
