Job Description

If you're seeking a dynamic work environment, we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are currently looking for a skilled Project Estimator to join our team in Saint John, NB. The Project Estimator plays a key role in accurately estimating construction project costs and resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze Project Requirements: Review plans and specifications, conduct site visits, collaborate with project stakeholders, and identify project risks.
  • Cost Estimation: Conduct detailed quantity take-offs, evaluate supplier quotes, and prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Project Planning and Coordination: Develop project plans, coordinate with teams, and ensure timely delivery of estimates.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all estimates comply with regulations, maintain accurate documentation, and collaborate on agreements.
Required Competencies:
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 3-5 years' experience in construction project estimation.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and costs.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with technical drawings.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with building codes and regulations.
  • Excellent time management skills.
