Salary:

Prolium is the leader in above ground storage tank maintenance. When it comes to storage tanks, we do it all from minor repairs and modifications to major tank upgrades. We are currently seeking Journeyman Welders by hand who are willing to work at our shop in Didsbury, AB.

Duties

  • Fabricating and welding (SMAW) of tank components to the highest of industry standards
  • Out of position welding (SMAW)
  • Reading and understanding drawings and blueprints
  • Use of various tools and equipment under supervision (grinders, hydraulic jacks, etc.)
  • General work with steel (grinding, buffing, oxy-acetylene use etc.)
  • Participate in all daily toolboxes and safety meetings
  • Working with the team to ensure a quality product is delivered.
  • Must be physically fit and able to safely lift 50 lbs
  • General jobsite support

Safety Certification Requirements (safety certification and training can be provided to successful applicants)

  • CSTS 2020
  • WHMIS 2015
  • CSA Steel toed boots required. All other PPE is provided.

Assets

  • Valid Journeyman Ticket
  • Interprovincial Red Seal trade ticket is an asset
  • CWB Ticket all position SMAW
  • B-Pressure ticket (an asset)
  • Employment is contingent on successful completion of welder's qualification test (ASME IX)
