Mobile Equipment Technician

Full-time mobile equipment technician position available for a 12-hour shift, 7p-7a, Sunday to Tuesday, with a competitive compensation package and benefits.
This role involves performing service and preventative maintenance on mobile equipment, troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical systems, and working at heights up to 45 feet. The ideal candidate will have a certificate of qualification in a relevant trade, such as powered lift truck technician or heavy duty equipment technician, and experience with computerized maintenance management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform service and preventative maintenance on mobile equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems
- Work at heights up to 45 feet
- Inspect and examine mobile equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
- Assist in other maintenance department repairs as required
- Respond to truck breakdowns in a timely manner
- Perform repairs with minimal supervision, taking responsibility and decision making to see the job to completion within time demands
Qualifications:
- Certificate of qualification in a relevant trade, such as powered lift truck technician or heavy duty equipment technician
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems
- Able to work at heights up to 45 feet
- Able to stand for long periods with occasional laying, stooping and crouching
- Frequent heavy lifting up to 50 lbs
Assets:
- Background or experience in electrical systems or electronics
- Demonstrated experience in vehicle repair and troubleshooting
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems
