Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting and Payroll Administrator to join our team at Targeted Talent. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing essential daily and monthly support across a range of accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and timely financial data and reports to support business decision-making.
  • Assist in the monthly closing of the general ledger and prepare month-end schedules.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to gather necessary data for payroll processing.
  • Ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing, including time reporting and rectification of any errors.
  • Exercise discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive and confidential financial information.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the finance team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of Grade 12 education; a Business, Accounting, Commerce certification or diploma is a significant advantage.
  • Preferred experience in general accounting and payroll processing.
  • Familiarity with labor laws and regulations in Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
  • Knowledge of the Agriculture Industry will be an asset.
  • Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals, including debits, credits, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and budgeting.
  • Proficiency in standard desktop applications, including Microsoft Office, and internet functions.
  • Willingness to adapt to flexible hours as required.
