Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Area Supply Coordinator to join our team at the Provincial Health Services Authority. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient maintenance, distribution, and recording of medical/surgical supplies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Count, record, and enter the status of departmental medical/surgical supplies using computer systems and/or handheld devices.
  • Perform various return functions in accordance with established procedures.
  • Deliver and restock/put away medical/surgical supplies to departments following established quotas.
  • Complete routine records by performing duties such as completing established documentation for direct (non-stock) supplies previously received in the system; deliver to the appropriate department.
  • Enter requested requisitions into the computer as required.
  • Clean carts, shelves, and rotate stock in stores and assigned areas.
  • Maintain the store room in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Perform routine clerical duties such as answering the phone, filing, and entering, editing, and retrieving data from the computer system.
  • Assist with physical inventories and cycle counts by counting items in inventory as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Grade 10 plus six (6) months' recent, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of social, economic, political, and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.).
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
