This is a 3 to 4 month job located in Hope, BC.
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Construction Laborer for a short term Contract. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support to the site lead and multitasking across various construction tasks. This position requires someone who can follow directions effectively, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and handle miscellaneous duties as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the construction site.
TASKS
  • Demolition
  • Prepare and clean up construction sites;
  • Carpentry assistance;
  • Load/unload supplies, equipment, and construction materials;
  • Additional duties as assigned;
  • Must have the ability to do heavy lifting, bending, kneeling and crouching
  • Work using hand and power tools
  • Ensure the proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment, reporting any issues or malfunctions.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized, minimizing hazards and optimizing productivity.
  • Concrete removal and substrate preparation
  • Installation and removal of simple formwork

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous Carpentry/Concrete Experience
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools relevant to carpentry work.
  • be reliable and capable of working with other workers on the crew
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, joinery, and construction processes
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to implement safety protocols.

COMPENSATION Competitive hourly rate $21.00 to $24.00
