We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Provincial MAID Program team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in facilitating the flow of care for patients and families engaging with our program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, prioritize, plan, implement, and problem-solve aspects of care associated with medical assistance in dying.
- Make independent nursing judgments based on clinical knowledge and applied process understanding.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
- Advocate for patients and their families, promoting patient-centered care and respect for diverse cultures and preferences.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality care and adherence to established standards and legislative requirements.
Requirements:
- Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in acute care, with a preference for emergency medicine and/or ICU
- Minimum of one (1) year nursing experience in end-of-life care (palliative care) or community care
- Ability to travel to provide medical assistance in dying in healthcare facilities and dwellings within neighboring urban and rural locations
