Role overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Security Specialist with focus on DLP and Email Security to join our team with varied strengths. As a Senior Security Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring and responding to DLP incidents. We are looking for an ideal resource who has worked in the SOC environment and who has created and finetuned the policies for large enterprises.

What you'll do

  • Configure, deploy, and manage Proofpoint email security solutions.
  • Collaborate with security architects to ensure optimal Proofpoint configurations.
  • Respond to and resolve incidents and service requests related to email security.
  • Prioritize and triage alerts or issues to determine whether an actual security incident is occurring, including high-level incidents.
  • Required to analyze and gain insight from large, complex datasets, focusing on investigating live issues in a wide range of underlying DLP technologies.
  • Proactively hunt for Data Loss Scenarios and identify potential threat egress points that might make way for data exfiltration and unknown vulnerabilities and compliance/security gaps.
  • Experience identifying and developing responses to new Data leakage threats.
  • Articulate the analysis results to improve DLP rule sets, policies, processes, and systems. Change Management.

What you bring to the role

  • Primary Skills: (Mandatory)
    • DLP: Microsoft Purview and MCAS Secondary: any other SaaS DLP solution
    • Proofpoint: Proofpoint Email Security
  • The incumbent should have more than more than 7 years of experience working on Microsoft Endpoint DLP and Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps (Mandatory)
  • Be familiar with other email security solutions and protocols.
  • Well experienced with email encryption technologies.

Working arrangements

We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 4 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Mississauga. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs.
