We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia. As a member of our Enhanced Care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
About the Opportunity
- Assess and plan resident care, implementing and evaluating treatment plans in collaboration with medical professionals and care teams;
- Provide leadership and oversight to health services staff, ensuring quality care and adherence to policies and procedures;
- Administer medications, apply dressings and treatments, and maintain accurate and complete documentation;
- Collaborate with management and health services teams to promote communication and compliance;
- Supervise and evaluate the performance and behavior of other health care staff.
About You
- Registration with the provincial Practical Nursing regulatory body;
- Ability to work flexible hours and shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays;
- Valid CPR and First Aid Certification preferred;
- A clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening;
- Previous experience working with elderly in long-term care or senior living environments an asset;
- A passion for the healthcare sector and ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care.
