Job Title: Shunt Driver Job Description:

Shunt drivers are responsible for handling, moving, loading, and unloading materials in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring customer orders are processed correctly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process customer orders by placing or removing trailers from designated areas.
  • Open and close trailer doors as required, maintain a daily yard check and shunt log, and attach trailer seals as needed.
  • Exercise good judgment when checking trailers and maintaining the shunt truck.
  • Ensure compliance with all SOP's and Health & Safety guidelines, maintaining a clean environment.
  • Suggest improvements to reduce hazards and prevent reoccurrences.
  • Operate reefers and heated trailers, weigh yard trailers, build LCV trailer and B-Train trailer combinations, and move oversize trailers within the yard.
  • Communicate with the Team Leader and Desk Clerks on a regular basis concerning operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Age: 23 or older
  • License: AZ / Class 1 Driver's License
