About the RoleThe Rollforming Process Engineering role reports to the operations manager and plays a support function at Rollstamp Manufacturing's production processes by ensuring smooth, optimal operation of production equipment and machinery. Coordinating with the quality, production and safety/environment departments regularly, the Rollforming Process Engineer ensures operating processes adhere to their respective systems to meet the required standards of each department.
Your Responsibilities- Monitor daily Production performance to ensure all cells meet the daily departmental goals and targets.
- Assist in production sets up when issues arise during set up of roll form tooling, material, testing and adjusting guides, fixtures and other aspects of workstation, until it is production ready.
- Conducts test runs and measurements to ensure pieces and parts produced meet required specifications.
- Audit daily first and last off approvals.
- Ensure all Quality, Manufacturing, Safety/Environmental and 5S systems are rigidly followed.
- Audit the Department CRP to ensure OEE is set to the actual run standards.
- Champion regular meetings with cross-functional teams to address and resolve issues affecting Departments performance.
- Maximize Rolling Mill uptime by working with the Production Team
- Work with the Engineering Department to develop effective check gauges (ie. acceptable GR&R and can provide variable data where needed).
- Setup and maintain system to monitor cleanliness and viscosity of coolant.
- Work with the Scheduler to ensure the most efficient change-over sequence and min/max setup.
- Work with the Tooling and Maintenance Departments to ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and running optimally.

Your preferred qualificationsEducational Requirements: Certified in a technical field applicable to automotive parts manufacturing.
Minimum Experience: Minimum 3 yrs hands-on working experience in a technical role in manufacturing
Computer Skills: Intermediate knowledge of MS Office applications
Communication Skills: Good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
Additional Education/Experience/Skills:
- Hands-on approach to problem solving.
- Understanding of a roll forming process and part sweeping.
- Good understanding of SPC and ability to distinguish product conformance based on standards.
- Ability to judge conformance or parts to specifications.
- Analyze defects, gather information, diagnose problems and make decisions.
- Able to work in a team environment.
