We are seeking a Database Solution Architect to provide expertise in designing solutions that leverage Amazon Web Services Data & AI services, working closely with customers and internal teams to drive innovation and adoption.
Description
Are you a customer-obsessed builder with a passion for helping customers achieve their full potential? Do you have the business savvy, Data & AI background, and sales skills necessary to help position AWS as the cloud provider of choice for customers?
As a Specialist Solutions Architect, you will work with the Canadian Specialist Organization (CANSO) Data & AI team to build and execute go-to-market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses. You will provide expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Thought Leadership: Evangelize AWS Database services and share best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public speaking events.
* Partner with SAs, Sales, Business Development, Data and the AI/ML Service teams to accelerate customer adoption and providing guidance on their customer engagements.
* Act as a technical liaison between customers and the AWS Database services teams to provide customer-driven product improvement feedback.
* Develop and support an AWS internal community of Data related subject matter experts worldwide.
* Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services GenAI solutions into customer architectures.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* 7+ years design/implementation/consulting experience of distributed applications
* 5+ years management of technical, customer-facing resources
* 5+ years of experience with Database
* History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises
* Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
* Familiarity with common enterprise services and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers
* Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
* AWS Solution Architecture certification or relevant cloud expertise
* Computer Science/ relevant degree and/or experience highly desired
