The Cook is a key member of our culinary team, responsible for preparing high-quality cooked foods and providing exceptional customer service. This is a non-exempt position that requires a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Essential Functions
  • Food Preparation: Follows recipes and product directions to prepare, season, cook, and serve a variety of food items, including soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts.
  • Food Safety and Sanitation: Practices excellent food safety and sanitation practices, adhering to HACCP standards and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Equipment Operation: Operates a variety of kitchen equipment, including fryers, griddles, and ovens, to prepare and cook food items.
  • Inventory Management: Stocks, dates, and rotates inventory, ensuring that products are fresh and of high quality.
  • Customer Service: Provides exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Culinary Experience: Requires a minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience, with a preference for experience in high-volume and casual dining restaurant environments.
  • Food Knowledge: Requires knowledge of HACCP standards, food preparation techniques, and menu planning.
  • Communication Skills: Requires the ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions, as well as converse comfortably with customers.
  • Physical Demands: Requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, bend, twist, and stand for long periods of time.
Work Environment

The Cook will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, frequently immersing hands in water and working with sharp knives, utensils, and hot plates. The ability to work in a hot environment is also required.
