Seeking an experienced Deceased Donor Coordinator to join our team at the Saskatchewan Transplant Program, Regina General Hospital, to guide the donation process and optimize organ and tissue yield for recipient transplantation.
Job DescriptionPosition: Deceased Donor Coordinator
- Recent clinical experience in organ/tissue donation
Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide each step of the donation process, including donor identification, suitability assessment, declaration, approach and consent with families, and medical donor management
- Optimize organ and tissue yield for recipient transplantation
- Provide family follow-up and support after each donation
Requirements:
- Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
- 2 years clinical experience in a highly acute environment (ex. critical or ER)

- Knowledge in database management
- Ability to meet treatment needs with a client/family centered approach to care
- Demonstration of extreme attention to detail
