Join our team as a Specialist, Systems Engineering and play a key role in the planning, coordination and execution of system engineering activities. As a member of our integrated product/project team, you will work closely with customers, internal and subcontract members to deliver innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage system requirements for developmental systems involving multiple subcontractors.
  • Develop and maintain systems engineering related documentation, including specifications, interface control documents, test requirements and test plans.
  • Conduct trade studies and make recommendations on the insertion of new technologies to meet required capability advances.
  • Plan, execute and document formal qualification tests.
  • Estimate engineering effort required for specific tasks and projects.
  • Ensure that systems engineering tasks are performed in accordance with Raytheon Canada Limited engineering policies and procedures.
  • Support manufacturing for the transition of products from development to production.
  • Support business development regarding new system integration projects.
  • Support existing programs to meet customer requirements, including technical investigations, integration development and program review meetings.
  • Support other engineering staff with system engineering related technical issues.
  • Contribute to the growth of the division by expanding assigned projects and seizing opportunities for additional work through development initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science or Engineering in Electrical, Computer, Systems Design or equivalent.
  • 5-9 years of experience in a systems engineering, integration or development environment.
  • Experience with radar systems, Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems and hardware and software integration programs is an asset.
  • Experience with Modeling and Simulation applications and architecture is an asset.
  • Experience as a system architect or project engineer is an asset.
  • Must be eligible for professional registration (Professional Engineer) under the provincial Association of Professional Engineers in the province of practice.
  • Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Able to travel globally to visit customer or supplier sites for short periods of time.
