The Role:

  • preparing patients for treatments, ensuring that all applicable health, safety, and professional business practices of the Employer are followed
  • cleaning and maintaining equipment and working with the Patient Support Team to ensure supplies are stocked and prepared; adhering to all hygiene policies set forth by the Employer
  • performing various therapies and medical procedures within your scope of practice
  • electronically documenting patient treatment details
  • initiating intravenous injections, monitoring patients during IV infusions and performing weekly phlebotomy duties
  • ensuring that any tests you have collected, prepared and/or shipped are completed in full
  • maintaining inventory and ordering necessary supplies for the Laboratory and IV therapy departments
  • working closely with our office manager to ensure quick and efficient implementation of new therapies or protocols
  • remain up to date on relevant job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations
  • timely and respectful communication with other Neurvana team members
  • professionalism is required at all times in Neurvana offices, or anywhere else where you would represent Neurvana Health (public events, meetings, etc)

What to expect

  • Full time, permanent hours per week)
  • Monday to Thursday (specific schedule made available to successful, round one applicants)
  • Hourly & bi-weekly pay by direct deposit

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Already posses the skills to understand a variety of monographs to mix multi-ingredient IV bags, start IV infusions and draw blood
  • Be registered with your governing body in the province of Alberta
  • Hold a valid Licensed Practical (LPN or Registered Nurse (RN) Certification
  • Maintain professional liability and malpractice insurance through your college
  • Maintain a valid CPR / ACLS / BLS certification
  • Have valid work authorization: Canadian citizen or a Canadian Permanent Resident

An asset:

  • Experience in or a passion for functional and integrative medicine
  • Previous experience in a private medical practice
  • A burning desire to work alongside an interdisciplinary team of health professionals redefining centralized medicine as we know it
