Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Compass Canada. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food products in accordance with our corporate standards and guidelines.

• Food Preparation: Prepare, pre-cook, and cook food products as directed, ensuring that all dishes meet our quality standards.
• Mise en Place: Prepare and maintain the necessary ingredients, garnishes, and sauces for high-volume production.
• Cleanliness and Sanitation: Clean kitchen equipment and maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety policies.
• Inventory Management: Label, date, store, and rotate food and beverage products in designated storage areas.
• Communication: Effectively communicate with operational departments to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
• Reporting: Report any maintenance issues, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor immediately.

• Culinary Experience: Proven experience as a restaurant cook or prep cook, with a strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Certifications: Food Safety Certification and a certificate from a recognized cooking school.
• Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, accuracy, and speed in executing assigned tasks, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical Demands: Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
