Fire Protection Drafter

Join our team as a Fire Protection Drafter and play a crucial role in designing and implementing automatic fire sprinkler systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and plans using AutoCAD, Revit, and HydraCAD systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and prepare drawings considering architectural, structural, and mechanical plans.
  • Reproduce and draw sketches, drawings, and plans with precision and accuracy.
  • Arrange sprinklers on drawings in accordance with current standards and codes.
  • Verify drawings against established procedures to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Participate in project meetings with project managers and other trades for project coordination.
  • Order materials based on coordinated drawings using HydraList.
  • Conduct field surveys for installation drawings.
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Fire Protection Engineering Technology or Design, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of fire protection drafting experience.
  • Proficiency in computer-assisted design with AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of HydraCAD (an asset).
  • Knowledge of standards and codes governing design and installation of automatic fire protection systems.
  • Valid driver's license.
