Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Bakery Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized bakery area, and assisting with the sale of bakery products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the quality and visual appearance of bakery department merchandise, including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
  • Ensure that the department is fully stocked with merchandise and is ready for business.
  • Verify that merchandise is properly signed and priced.
  • Adhere to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
  • Follow proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
  • Prepare bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of bakery department merchandise.
  • Ensure all displays are secured in a safe and proper manner.
