We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cash Management Specialist to join our team at Sleep Country Canada/Dormez-vous. As a critical member of our Accounting Department, you will play a key role in ensuring the continuity of our cash management processes and providing expert support to our business units.

As a Senior Cash Management Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring cash management and validation functions, identifying risks and roadblocks, and proposing remediation and improvements to your Senior Manager. You will also lead daily tender matching and reconciliation processes, analyze match results, and provide recommendations for improving automated matches.

Additionally, you will support daily gift card processing and reconcile activity, address issues in a timely manner, and serve as a subject matter expert for internal and external customers.

"Key Responsibilities

  • Cash Balancing/Application and account reconciliation
  • Lead daily tender matching and reconciliation process, analyze match results, identify root causes for exception matches and provide recommendation for improving automated matches. Follow up with internal departments to resolve outstanding balances.
  • Proactively review results and trends to identify emerging issues.
  • Lead and support daily gift card processing and reconcile activity addressing issues in a timely manner.
  • As subject matter expert, support, review and resolve 1st level escalations to internal and external customers.
Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Advanced level of proficiency in MS Excel and Accounting systems.
  • Process mapping and validation for functional area testing of the new system and all integrations.
  • Proven experience in training Finance/Accounting teams with new processes and leading team projects.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines while managing competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills including a high level of expertise with internal and external stakeholder management.
