Position Overview

Munich Re is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Actuarial Co-op to join our team in Toronto. As a key member of our Property and Casualty Risk department, you will work closely with experienced actuaries and associates to analyze and manage risk in the reinsurance industry.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist in the Own Risk Solvency Assessment processes to ensure the company's financial stability and regulatory compliance.
  • Support the preparation and quantification of quarterly risk report capital analyses of the primary and reinsurance units to inform business decisions.
  • Provide support in fulfilling regulatory and group reporting requirements to maintain accurate and transparent financial records.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate operational risks and control assessment processes.
Qualifications

We are looking for a well-rounded individual with strong analytical and communication skills, who is able to build positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in Actuarial Science, Math, or Statistics, and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and spreadsheet applications.

As a collaborative professional, you will be excited to join our winning team and demonstrate leadership qualities, such as clear-thinking, curiosity, integrity, and drive. Experience with VBA is considered an asset, and preference will be given to candidates who have relevant work experience or have completed at least one placement.
