Reporting to the Senior Tax Analyst, the Tax Analyst is responsible for preparing Canadian and U.S. indirect tax returns along with assisting in income tax compliance for our client and its subsidiaries.

In addition, the position will also assist in all areas of tax accounting and with tax-related special projects as they arise.

The Tax Analyst performs some or all of the following duties:
Prepare indirect tax returns for Canadian and US legal entities Perform month end process duties, including reconciliation of tax accounts and preparing monthly journal entries Prepare Canadian corporate income tax and partnership returns and related working papers Assist with accounting for income taxes and quarterly tax provisions Strong ability in financial analysis and process improvement ~1-3 years of experience in an indirect tax role ~ Exposure to indirect tax legislation, particularly GST/HST/QST and BC PST legislation ~ Corporate income tax experience would be an asset ~ CPA designation or near completion of would be an asset ~ Intermediate MS office software proficiency (Strong MS Excel skills)~ Experience with NetSuite would be an asset ~
