Speech Language Pathologist needed to provide diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative services to children with speech language disorders.

Reporting directly to the manager, primary health, the Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for providing diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative services to children with speech language disorders who have been referred for services.

This position is based out of St Pauls Hospital and provides community based services to licensed daycare facilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative services to children with speech language disorders
  • Working with children individually and in small groups
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans to meet the needs of children with speech language disorders

Requirements:

  • Master of Speech Language Pathology (SLP)
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Hanen training is preferred
  • Registered/eligible with Canadian Assoc. of SLPs and Audiologists (CASLPA)
  • Access to a reliable vehicle
  • Previous related experience with children and families is preferred

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience working with children individually and in small groups
  • Knowledge of community resources and services available to children with speech language disorders
