We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Collection Driver to join our team at BluPlanet Recycling. As a Collection Driver, you will be responsible for executing daily collections routes in a safe, prompt, and courteous manner.
Key Responsibilities- Complete daily pre/post trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and efficiency.
- Operate a Class 3 vehicle with Q endorsement to collect waste and recyclables from various locations.
- Physically move bins from waste enclosures to collection vehicle and replace them neatly after material is collected.
- Ensure client sites are left neat and tidy after each collection.
- Provide route improvement recommendations to optimize collection efficiency.
- Regularly review and implement safe work procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Support business operations by flexing into overflow routes and assisting with shop and yard tasks as needed.
- Class 3 driver's license with Q endorsement.
- Minimum 3 years' experience driving commercially in a Class 3 vehicle in short haul settings.
- Physical ability to carry up to 75 lbs.
- Intermediate truck maintenance knowledge.
- Clean commercial driver's abstract.
