About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Front-end Developer to join our Retail team at theScore. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our retail-based applications, including kiosks, over-the-counter systems, and odds boards.

About the Work
  • Work with our preferred technology stack: modern JavaScript, React, Tailwind, CSS, and more.
  • Develop, scale, and optimize amazing GraphQL & RESTful APIs.
  • Build front-end applications using modern JavaScript technologies (React, TypeScript).
  • Participate in the design, architecture, and delivery of new features in a collaborative agile/scrum environment.
  • Build the user interface for kiosks and devices with screens that betting users can interact with and that accepts card payments.
  • Build the over the counter screen that employees interact with to accept cash/card for bet placement.
  • Build your components to interact with multiple microservices that use Elixir, Kafka, and more.
About You
  • 5+ years experience in software development, specializing in front-end technologies.
  • Strong understanding of TypeScript, React, and general UX Principles.
  • A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, distributed systems, algorithms, and software design.
  • Passionate about clean code architecture and software craftsmanship.
  • Experience with modern web framework and API development.
  • Experience with Git and GitHub or similar.
  • Knowledge and experience with relational databases; including PostgreSQL and MySQL.
  • Comfortable working in the terminal.
  • Proficiency within an editor of your choice.
  • Experience working with profiling tools.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with caching strategies and tools.
  • Consuming and integrating with third-party APIs.
