Our dedicated staff deliver services, operate facilities and run the programs that enhance the well-being of our community.The West Vancouver Community Services Department has an immediate opening for casual Shuttle Bus Drivers.
The Shuttle Bus Driver's position is responsible for driving a set route based on a schedule and picking up and dropping off of passengers who are seniors, as well as driving for seniors' Trips & Outings.
The Shuttle Bus Driver must demonstrate superior communication skills to deal effectively with the passengers who may need assistance loading and unloading onto the bus, or assistance with walkers and/or parcels.
The preferred candidates will possess:
some experience and a desire to work with seniors; good communication and problem solving skills; good customer service skills; strong organizational and time management skills.
Applications will be accepted from those with a minimum Class 4 unrestricted Driver's Licence, exemplary driving record, proven experience in customer service, and who are adaptable to a flexible work schedule.
The successful candidates will be required to supply an acceptable police information check and a copy of their credentials.

Hours of Work:
Up to 25 hours per week. Hours and days of work may vary depending on operational requirements.
Starting Rate of Pay:
$22.12 per hour plus 14% in lieu of benefits.
This position has a pay structure with 3 Steps which increases based on hours worked.
