  • Checks and accounts for all student passengers and maintains order on the school bus
  • Makes certain students are seated promptly after boarding the bus and remain seated until the bus reaches its destination;
  • Seats and places students in order to control behaviour
  • Assists students in wheelchairs and applies safety and restraining devices as needed
  • Assists students on and off the bus
  • Monitors student behaviour on the bus and alerts the bus driver of problems that occur on the bus and at student stops
  • Maintains a daily log of problems encountered and actions taken
  • Delivers incident log and makes oral and/or written reports to the bus driver at the conclusion of the work day
  • May be required to operate the bus radio in the case of emergency
  • May be required to administer firstaid
  • Attends jobtraining workshops, meetings
  • Performs other related duties as required.
