KLUC is searching for an Audiovisual Lead to oversee the production and streaming of our two Sunday services as well as other special programming on a part-time basis.

We are looking for an AV professional willing to actively support and improve our digital presence allowing us to expand our reach and improve the community's access to our worship and other services.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Production

Regularly livestreams and records the Church's weekly 10 am service to a growing audience, consistently ensuring a professional product.

Prepares for the livestream/recording and, after the 10 am service, edits the recording as necessary so the product may be uploaded to the church's YouTube channel.

This must be done the day of recording.
With the use of high-quality professional equipment, supports the visual delivery of the Sunday mid-morning service.

Prepares, from information provided by ministers and administration during the week, visuals for pre and post service and supporting slides during the service.

Provides technical support for the early morning virtual service and manages visual, recorded music and multiple speakers for a smooth delivery of content.

Prepare slides as required during the week. Edits this product as required (including editing out any discussion segments) and uploads to YouTube the day of recording.
Provides technological support to the Church staff and volunteers as required.
Attends weekly staff meeting on an as required basis

Provides livestreaming or videographer duties for weddings, funerals, and other special events on an ad hoc basis as their schedule permits.

These may be weekend or weekday events and are compensated at a set rate.
Remains responsible for the equipment's set up, takedown and safe storage.
Provides feedback on the equipment to the property superintendent.
Identifies issues that affect the production of an excellent product and identifies potential solutions, in consultation with the Ministry and the Ministry Leads
Works with, encourages, and trains volunteers to assist with some tasks.

On a monthly basis on the first Wednesday of each month, create and provide links for livestreaming the service to the Church Administrator so the links may be inserted in the weekly e-blast.

This allows congregants to access the livestreamed Sunday service.
Creates and provides links for special events to the necessary party within 24 hours of the receiving the request
Run pre and post slideshow at funeral services if provided by the family.

Provide technical services as described above for both services at least two Sundays a month at Kingsway Lambton United Church to maintain skills.

Leading

Ensures the consistent creation of a professional product on all platforms to reinforce and uphold Kingsway Lambton's presence in the community and to create excellent access to our services

Creates and maintains a production schedule monthly to ensure appropriate coverage of all services throughout the year and communicates with the Minister, Christian Life Ministry Leads and Church Administrator as required.

The schedule must be provided at least one month in advance to those mentioned above.
Serves as the primary contact for the AV team with the Minister, Ministry leads and staff members
Ensure appropriate backup so there is always continuity of production services
Trains new videographers and provides feedback to them as required
Assists the Ministry Leads with the recruiting and hiring of additional videographers as required
Establishes and maintains a procedural manual that promotes best practices to enable a professional product, i.e. for preferred camera angles etc.

Performance Expectations

Creation of high-quality products and a consistent user experience on a weekly basis
When on duty, must be on site by 8:10 am for both the church's early service and 10 am service
Must create and consistently communicate the work schedule to stakeholders to ensure appropriate coverage for Sunday
Expected to attend weekly staff meetings, virtually or in person
Attends training to fulfil this role and provide services at least twice per month as a member of the AV team

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

College diploma or higher in a related field or 2 years of experience as a videographer or technology consultant with a minimum of 100 hours of actual work experience
Proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Office, Audio and Video editing and Videoconferencing.

QUALIFICATIONS /SKILLS

Excellent knowledge of audio-visual and computer technology as well as related software programs
Excellent communication skills to ensure that all stakeholders are in the loop around plans and any changes
Respectful of the Christian faith being explored and presented.
Willingness to work collegially with staff and volunteers.
Demonstrated ability to train and coach other staff members
Able to demonstrate problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Strong written, copy-editing abilities and verbal communication skills.
A high degree of professionalism and desire to produce a professional product
Ability to identify issues and propose solutions, contributing creative suggestions to overcome problems to reach stated goals.

Comfortable with multi-tasking, meeting deadlines.
