Key Responsibilities- Investigate and Resolve Bill Issues: You will investigate and resolve individual bill issues and exceptions from the daily billing cycle, ensuring accurate and timely resolution.
- Calculate and Add Bill Adjustments: You will calculate and add bill adjustments to customer accounts, ensuring accurate and up-to-date billing information.
- Recreate Customer Bills: You will recreate customer bills based on various Nova Scotia Power approved fees and rates, ensuring accurate and compliant billing.
- Perform Advanced Billing Functions: You will perform advanced billing functions such as multiple bill cancellations, complex-level adjustments, and re-issuing of multiple or historical bills.
- Communicate with Staff and Customers: You will communicate and work with staff in other departments, such as Customer Care, Field Operations, and Smart Meter Operations, to ensure seamless billing processes.
- Provide Billing Support: You will provide billing subject matter support to internal and external customers, ensuring accurate and timely responses to billing inquiries.
- Adhere to Billing Policies and Procedures: You will adhere to billing and meter reading policies and procedures based on Rates and Regulations for Nova Scotia Power, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Education: Minimum of Grade XII education or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of two years' relevant experience with billing or metering functions.
- Skills: Competency using MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, and SharePoint. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate issues.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a small team in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to problem solve, make decisions, and/or recommendations.
- Organizational Skills: Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to adapt to change.
- Confidentiality: Good judgment, initiative, confidentiality, work ethic, and the ability to meet deadlines are of prime importance.
