About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Insurance Advisor to join our team at BrokerLink Insurance. As a key member of our Commercial Team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and delivering tailored insurance solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Independent Business Unit accounts with professionalism and efficiency
  • Provide customers with prompt and expert advice on insurance matters, ensuring they understand their coverage and risks
  • Process and manage all incoming Commercial paperwork, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Assist with quotes, review existing coverage, and update customer file information to ensure seamless service
  • Prepare documentation for insurers, complete applications for new clients, and issue insurance certificates
  • Process endorsements, invoices, and follow up on payments to ensure timely resolution
  • Communicate with Insurance companies, negotiate with underwriters on customers' behalf, and negotiate renewal of terms
  • Source and obtain additional information requested by the underwriter and complete applications
  • Be a part of the billing team, answering client calls regarding payments
Requirements
  • High School and/or Post-Secondary Education
  • Commercial insurance experience is an asset
  • Alberta General Level 1 License is required
  • Exposure to Epic is an asset
  • Previous sales experience is an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities successfully
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to pass a criminal and credit check
