About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Tool and Equipment Coordinator to join our team at our new Magna Chassis and Body Mississauga facility. As a Tool and Equipment Coordinator, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing hand tools, machine tools, dies, materials, and equipment in a manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Issue tools and equipment to manufacturing area as needed.
• Manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts and escalate issues as required.
• Receive and distribute MRO supplies and deliver packages or goods to individual parties as necessary.
• Verify shipment accuracy and report discrepancies.
• Escalate backorders and provide purchasing reports as required.
• Organize and maintain the tool crib and shop floor vending machines.
• Work flexible hours to support business needs.

Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a customer service role.
• Experience working in a purchasing-related role within manufacturing is mandatory.
• Post-secondary certificate or degree in a purchasing-related area of study is an asset.
• Working knowledge of industrial and safety products is required.
• Previous experience with AutoCrib is considered a valuable asset.
• Knowledge and training in WHMIS and/or handling dangerous goods is an asset.
