Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Policy Associate to join our team at Health Careers in Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing key functions within the Governance and Policy portfolio, including serving as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies, establishing and managing processes to support the efficient and effective operations of the Policy Office, and collaborating and coordinating work processes with former regional health authority local policy contacts across the province.

Key Responsibilities
  • Policy Development and Implementation: Assist with the development and effective implementation of corporate and clinical policy audit accountabilities, and maintain the provincial policy database.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies, and collaborate and coordinate work processes with former regional health authority local policy contacts across the province.
  • Process Management: Establish and manage processes to support the efficient and effective operations of the Policy Office in accordance with the SHA Policy Framework.
  • Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement: Assist with and monitor quality assurance and continuous improvement in the policy development process.
Requirements
  • Education: Undergraduate degree or diploma in business, public policy, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1 year experience as a research/policy analyst or senior administrative assistant.
  • Licenses: Valid Class 5 driver's license.
Competencies
  • Critical Thinking: Critical thinking skills to analyze complex policy issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Ability to collaborate and partner with a wide variety of stakeholders to achieve policy objectives.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time regular position with a regular schedule. The successful candidate will be required to travel within Saskatchewan.
