Job SummaryThe Pet Care Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and enjoyment of our canine guests. This is a part-time position that requires a passion for dogs, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Safely introduce new dogs to the group and assess their behavior during their visit.
- Supervise and manage a daycare playgroup of up to 15 dogs, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
- Record clear and informative notes about dog behavior in the playroom logbook and communication boards.
- Complete daily report cards for the dogs in your care, providing valuable insights for their owners.
- Follow established protocols to ensure dogs receive adequate rest, playtime, and activities.
- Monitor dog behavior to identify potential health concerns and take proactive steps to address them.
- Communicate effectively with the Pet Care and Client Care teams to ensure seamless care and attention.
- Perform facility cleaning tasks, including laundry, mopping floors, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients and staff, demonstrating a friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
- Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on operational efficiency.
- High-level knowledge of dog breeds, behavior, and grooming services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace, with a willingness to learn new software platforms and tools.
- A passion for dogs and a commitment to providing exceptional care and attention.
- Competitive hourly rate of pay, starting at $15.00/hour.
