Housekeeper

The Housekeeper plays a critical role in our communities, impacting the lives of residents and fostering a sense of warmth and connection.

Responsibilities:
  • Receiving assignments, assembling necessary materials and supplies, and transporting them to the work area.
  • Performing resident room cleaning according to the assigned schedule.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting duties, including sweeping, dry/wet mopping, vacuuming, and rearranging furniture.
  • Ensuring the privacy of residents during the performance of duties.
  • Preparing rooms for new occupants, following prescribed procedures to ensure a tour-ready environment.
  • Notifying supervisors when supplies are low or equipment is malfunctioning.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Previous housekeeping experience is required.
  • Ability to read, write English, and follow written instructions.
  • Good understanding of chemical and equipment use.
  • Ability to work independently or as a team.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to effectively communicate with residents and team members.
  • Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check (applicable to Ontario applicants) and a Criminal Records Check (applicable to British Columbia applicants).
