Plains All American is an industry-leading transportation and midstream provider specializing in transportation, storage, processing and marketing solutions for crude oil and natural gas liquids (NGLs). We are seeking a talented and versatile individual to join our team. In a multifaceted role, you are responsible for aligning business objectives with IT initiatives, optimizing business processes, and fostering strong relationships between business stakeholders and the IS department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the IT department and business stakeholders, to ensure alignment between technology initiatives and business objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders to understand their needs, challenges, and priorities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business objectives into actionable architectural requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and work with the IT architecture team to design and implement solutions that meet business needs.
  • Analyze business processes and workflows to identify areas for optimization and automation.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation, leveraging technology to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between business stakeholders and IT teams throughout a project lifecycle.
  • Act as a champion for IT initiatives within the business, promoting awareness and adoption of technology solutions.
  • Drive alignment between business strategy, IT capabilities, and enterprise architecture principles.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the enterprise technology team.
  • Develop and maintain business architecture models that reflect our strategies and goals.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of IS projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in business architecture, business relationship management or similar, with a strong understanding of both business processes and IT systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, CBAP, BRPM) are highly desirable.
  • Proactive character with demonstrated ability to take initiative, drive results, and make things happen in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven excellence in building rapport and influencing decision-making at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies.
