We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist and Programmer to join our team at Advantage Personnel. Our client, a leading manufacturer of fire and explosion protective systems, requires a qualified professional to work in their Burlington facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, vertical machining centers, saws, and other machinery to produce high-quality parts.
  • Accurately read blueprints and mechanical drawings to complete customer orders and ensure precision and accuracy.
  • Conduct quality control checks on materials before and after machining to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Maintain accurate records of production, including daily logs and safety documentation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve production goals and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar CNC machining or machine operating role.
  • Experience with CNC programming and setup, as well as maintenance and repair of CNC machinery.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical principles and ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a standing position for extended periods.
