Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join our team. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and deploying machine learning models to drive business decisions and improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis and Engineering:
    • Explore and analyze complex datasets using statistical and machine learning techniques to uncover patterns, trends, and insights.
    • Identify relevant features and develop strategies for feature extraction and selection to improve model performance and efficiency.
    • Build net new data assets to support feature engineering processes.
    • Pre-process, clean, and analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured data to extract meaningful insights and features for model training.
  • Model Development:
    • Develop predictive models, classification algorithms, and recommendation systems to solve business problems and drive decision-making.
    • Implement scalable and efficient machine learning pipelines using tools and frameworks.
    • Deploy machine learning models into production environments and integrate them into existing systems and applications.
    • Monitor model performance and evaluate model accuracy, reliability, and scalability over time, and make necessary adjustments to improve performance.
  • Communication and Visualization:
    • Build interactive data visualizations and presentations to communicate insights and findings to stakeholders.
  • Research and Innovation:
    • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in machine learning, deep learning, and related fields, and actively contribute to research initiatives and innovation projects within the company.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a comparable role
  • Master's degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field required, PhD an asset
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL with experience in building and deploying machine learning models
  • Experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Scikit-learn
  • Experience working on Azure, UNIX, and hybrid environments
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka is a plus
  • Experience with software development best practices, version control systems (e.g., Git), and agile methodologies is a plus
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
